I rediscovered my love for photography a few years ago once it entered the digital era. In picking up a camera again and venturing out into the world, I was reminded how much photography can train one’s mind and eyes to see the many details of life that are often taken for granted.
Having worked in the high tech field my entire career, I found it very easy to make the transition from film to digital. It is hard not to be amazed at how the photography profession continues to be impacted by rapid advances in technology. And yet at its core, photography has changed very little. Imagination, a good eye for detail and composition, and creativity still matter much more than having the latest technological advances (although they certainly can help quite a bit! ;).
Portraits, architecture and nature are my favorite subject areas. I want to express my many thanks to all those that have commented on my flickr site, http://www.flickr.com/innerdemon or http://www.flickriver.com/photos/58002742@N00 (the name comes from my favorite golf movie, "Tin Cup"), purchased my photos, and requested my services.
A special word of thanks also goes to my family - Tanya, Peter, and Bobby - who support my photography efforts and often serve as unpaid "models" for my many experiments! :) And our four kitties - Annie, Silky, Whitney, and Foxy - also participate in impromptu portrait sessions!
